Preparing Africa’s Youth for the Digital Economy

By bringing together leading African policymakers, experts, and business leaders in these sectors, this session aims to explore the regulatory and policy options as well as investment priorities for the public and private sector that are needed to boost Africa’s preparedness for the digital economy, focusing on enabling the effective custodianship of Africa’s economy to its youth, so that the continent can fully benefit from its demographic dividend.

The session aims to explore what role the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) will play in Africa’s economic recovery post-COVID.

Panel 3: Building Back Green and More Resilient

By bringing together leading African policymakers, experts, and business leaders in these sectors, the session aims to explore the policy options that are key during this economic recovery post-COVID that will enable such leapfrogging – spanning areas such as continental energy, infrastructure, and investment policies and stimulus that allows all African countries to thrive in rebuilding a sustainable economy.

Pitch competition

The 2020 Africa Summit All-Virtual New Venture Pitch Competition will offer a unique platform to translate the visions of active entrepreneurs into meaningful relationships, investments, and action on behalf of the African continent. Entrepreneurs present to a group of expert investors and change-makers, who can provide the tools and resources to help them gain exposure and achieve their goals.
